I need to believe in this, after the bad news from the last days.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Today – February 16, 2018, a new Chinese New Year starts.

It is the year of the dog. It’s representative for people born in 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, and 2006, since the Chinese people believe that the year of your birth, and the animal this represents, determines a lot about your personality.

Wear red today to have good fortune, especially if the dog year is your birth year.

A typical Chinese New Year celebration lasts 15 days. Cities and towns schedule different activities for each day that are aimed at bringing people luck and prosperity in every aspect of life. On the last day (day 15) people usually celebrate it by solving riddles that are written on paper lanterns, eating yuanxiao, and releasing lanterns into the sky.

Regardless if you believe in this or if you are or not a Chinese, I wish you all – Gong xi fa cai!(joy and prosperity in the new year)

Happy thoughts

It is a Correct statement. But hard to make it work. See below are some advises that can help you bringing those positive thoughts:

  • Every night before you go to bed write three good things that happened to you that day.
  • Frequency beats intensity, because lots of little good things is the path to happiness. There is also a saying – simple things are what life is all about. Stop thinking about big events that might make you thrilled — it’s the little things of everyday life that make lasting improvements to our happiness.
  • Do what you are good at as often as you can.
  • Spend as much time as possible with people you like. Share the best events of your day with loved ones and ask them to do the same. And don’t forget to compliment them.
  • Be optimistic, even to the border of delusion. 🙂 Crazy, right? Here is why: People with positive illusions about their relationship are more satisfied, score higher on love and trust and have fewer problems. And also – overconfidence increases productivity and improves teamwork.
  • Keep in mind – Money is good. Many other things are better.

P.S. Since my blog is called Archived thoughts, should I change it to Happy thoughts? Nop….I have a lot of posted crap that is not happy at all. But hey – they are archived, right?! 😛
